This “Sobriety Checkpoint” consisted of over 20 police officers and probably as many vehicles. Every driver was stopped. My wife called me to let me know about it at 7 PM. They were still stopping cars at 9:45 PM when I drove through. An older female driver was pulled over in the southbound lane.

Usually involves VT state police. They always set it up around New Years Eve and at other random times on the weekends if they do it at all. Its more infrequently as of late. Its mostly a sobriety checkpoint, but do a make point to distract you and ask questions while they run their flashlight through your car. It basically an excuse to stop you, and bust you for violating some random law you don’t know about.
