Clinton Keith Road near West Murrieta Oaks Road
A Friday checkpoint in Murrieta resulted in six DUI arrests, authorities said. The grant-funded checkpoint was held from 7:15 p.m. Friday to 1:15 a.m. Saturday on Clinton Keith Road near West Murrieta Oaks Road, the Murrieta Police Department said in a news release. A total of 1,781 vehicles drove through the checkpoint, 560 of which were screened. In addition to the six DUI arrests, six others were arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana or driving without a valid license, the release said. Police said 14 vehicles were impounded because the driver was arrested or did not have a valid license.
