Hellertown, Pennsylvania Roadblocks

Traffic coming into Hellertown over the Saucon Creek (from Lower Saucon Township) was being stopped on Friday, May 24, 2013 starting at around 10:00 p.m., and lasting later into the night. Traffic was light enough that they were stopping each car individually. Searches of cars were observed, and at least one car that turned around prior to the checkpoint was followed. One car (mine) was followed out of Hellertown’s jurisdiction and into Lower Saucon Township, turn for turn until it reached its destination.

Checkpoint was conducted by the Hellertown Borough Police Department, possibly with the cooperation of surrounding municipalities.
