Roxboro, North Carolina Roadblocks

Just went through a “liscense” check. (about 6:40pm)There was a LEO standing in the middle of the road checking the drivers liscense of cars going both ways. There were three cars,vone had its lights on. One cop about hit me as he raced out after someone who must have driven past the cop in the middle of the road without showing his liscense. When it was my turn, I asked the cop what was tbout, he took my liscense without response. Then I asked him what was all this for. He look up from my liscense and into my eyes and said hy NC law he has the right to check drivers liscense at any check point. Sure felt like a “papers please” moment
