Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey Roadblocks

03/08/2011 I start driving north on rt 35 where cops coned off left lane and cop is standing in front of right lane. He points me to go into parking lot where another cop stops me and asks for lic, reg, and insurance. He wont tell me why i’ve been stopped — then comes back with a seatbelt ticket for me. This is an obvious shakedown/extortion of drivers to generate revenue for the town. In NJ minor violation ticket revenue is kept by the municipality and the cops have a license to steal with these unconstitutional roadblocks. It is a disgrace.
