Kansas City, Missouri Roadblocks

Set up at 6pm, have learned it usually goes until 11pm. It is a driver’s license check point. Not even a DUI check point. I have also learned it seems to be an annual thing via Facebook.

This checkpoint is very common in summer, weekend, and holiday dates. Usually just north of the Missouri River bridge. Very large, with a lot of equipment involved.

Kansas City police made 17 DUI arrests at a checkpoint late Saturday and early today.

Police said in a release today that officers stopped 701 westbound vehicles at the checkpoint, which ran from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. at 13th and Pennsylvania streets. Officers also reported one hazardous moving violation, two seatbelt violations and two cases of interference.
