Crete, Illinois Roadblocks

Fri night 10-10:30 pm. it was a set up with Emergency Services lining up cones on the southbound side blocking both lanes. We were the 2nd vehicle stopped. officers shined flashlights in “checking for seatbelts”. i was told to “move your arm” so they could see if i was wearing mine. I had no idea that i lost the right to keep my arm where i wished while driving a properly purchased, registered, insured and operated vehicle.
