8 PM on a Sunday evening. GSP roadblock right before Lovers Lane turns East-West. Asked for driver’s license and if the address on my license was current.

Old Smithville Road
The Georgia State Patrol has begun having almost daily checkpoints on Old Smithville Road, Leslie Highway, or Lee Street. Every road between Americus and Leesburg is being scrutinized for license, insurance, and tag. You can almost guarantee that one of these roads is being roadblocked. The trooper conducting these lives on Lee Street, and has been quoted as saying "My back yard is my best hunting ground".
