Two times in the past month or so, there has been a Georgia Highway Patrol checkpoint/roadblock on Newton Bridge Rd. just south of Hwy 441. They use the entrance by the swampy area to park their cars. Officers are in the road passively checking IDs while looking inside cars. The officer who checked my ID in passing was distracted by the car containing several black people as it approached the officer stopping cars coming in the opposite direction. I’m white and just sayin’.
